The MJC Bass Cimbasso is designed to fit "under" the sound of a trombone section. The design allows Tuba players to produce a true trombone sound in quiet dynamics as opposed to the Euphonium type sound many of the bigger built instruments make, when played quietly.
At the other end of the dynamic scale, the bell section holds up much better at extremely high sound levels. The MJC Bell section is built to help negate the mechanical "ringing" often experienced from the bell of other makes, at these loud dynamics.
